MISSION STATEMENT To lead our carefully chosen market in the delivery of asset lifecycle management tools, as well as the critical services needed to implement and support those tools.
Fulcrum was founded in 1998 when Brent Bauer, CEO and founder, led a group of investors in acquiring a barcode application provider that had created asset tracking solutions for a number of wireless carriers. Bauer's vision was to capitalize on the needs of the rapidly growing telecom market. In accordance with this vision, the company narrowed its focus to the telecom industry and changed its name to Fulcrum Technologies. The Fulcrum name was selected because a "fulcrum" is the point on which a lever rests -- the place where the power to move large objects comes from. The fulcrum reflects the many ways our company leverages barcode and wireless technologies for our customers. Fulcrum's CATS™ application management suite has been installed by more communication providers than any other asset tracking system. Nation-wide providers like T-Mobile and Cingular demonstrate the power of CATS™ across a larger enterprise. Numerous regional carriers like Southern LINC and SunCom reflect the great return on investment for smaller providers as well.
