BRENT BAUER

CEO & President

Brent Bauer is CEO and President. Mr. Bauer founded Fulcrum Technologies in 1998 and has grown the company into the telecom industry’s most respected and recognized provider of asset tracking solutions.

In 2001, Mr. Bauer was chosen by the Puget Sound Business Journal to be honored as one of Western Washington's top 40 business leaders under the age of 40. He has also been featured in Washington CEO magazine and is recognized for his ability to build effective, cross-functional teams while creating an environment of cooperation and employee involvement.

Prior to founding Fulcrum Technologies, Mr. Bauer was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Computech Systems, a leading broker of refurbished Hewlett-Packard business systems. He has a successful 16-year history in sales and management in the computer software and hardware markets. Mr. Bauer graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications from Seattle Pacific University.

SHAWN BIGGER

Vice President, Technology & Development

Shawn Bigger is the Vice President of Technology and Development and is the Chief Technology Officer of Fulcrum Technologies. He is the primary architect and leader in creating its products. As one of the origonal members of the Fulcrum team, Mr. Bigger has been instrumental in helping build the current business and securing early enterprise customers like McCaw Cellular, BellSouth Mobility Incorporated and Aerial Communications.

With over 15 years in the mobile computing software business, Mr. Bigger has developed many successful commercial software products for companies like O'Neil Software & Electronics and Barcodes West (acquired by Brady International). Mr. Bigger has a degree in Physics from the University of Washington and has studied advanced courses in information technology and computer science.

RICH YOUDE

Vice President, Finance & Administration

Rich Youde is the Vice President of Finance and Administration. Mr. Youde is a seasoned strategist with a proven track record in driving financial discipline and accountability. He is a Certified Management Accountant with more than 21 years experience as chief financial officer and controller in software development and technology companies.

Mr. Youde oversees Fulcrum’s finance department and was key in securing major funding from Incepta Partners, a venture fund focusing on telecom investments. Mr. Youde joined Fulcrum in 1999 prior to which he successfully developed the finance departments for several notable companies including Attachmate and IntegraTrak. He holds an accounting degree from the University of Oregon.

MIKE HALLAHAN

Vice President, Professional Services

Mike Hallahan is the Vice President of Professional Services and is responsible for developing and leading the consulting, training and implementation teams, as well as enhancing the company's product and service offerings. As one of the original employees of Fulcrum Technologies, Mr. Hallahan has been instrumental in helping to grow the business and has overseen large implementation projects for enterprise-level customers such as T-Mobile, Cingular Wireless, Leap Wireless, Qwest, and Time Warner Cable.

With over 15 years in the software industry, Mr. Hallahan has extensive experience in many successful commercial software companies such as Barcodes West, Concur Technologies, Interlinq Software, and Covault. Mr. Hallahan has a degree in Business Management from Washington State University.

BENTE VOLLAN

Vice President, Field Services

Bente Vollan is the Vice President of Field Services and is responsible for developing and leading the company's largest division focused on providing high quality and efficient field services for Fulcrum customers.

Ms. Vollan's background includes 20 years in the telecom and software industries where she was responsible for managing all aspects of customer operations, including inventory management, customer service, technical support, fulfillment and order management. Ms. Vollan has successfully built and managed many high performance teams in both start-ups and well-established companies including Aldus Corporation (acquired by Adobe Systems), Visio Corporation (acquired by Microsoft) and Contel Executone Telecommunications.

DON FIFER

Vice President, Sales

Don Fifer is the Vice President of Sales. Mr. Fifer joined Fulcrum Technologies in 1999 and has assisted in the company’s growth into the telecom industry’s most respected and recognized provider of network asset tracking and lifecycle management solutions.

Throughout Mr. Fifer's twenty-year business career, he has sharpened his unique combination of skills and abilities to anticipate customer’s needs, create revenue-generating opportunities and craft and execute strategic plans within the telecommunications, utilities and information services industries. 

Mr. Fifer is an accomplished team leader who has high performance standards, acts decisively with a passion for success and adept at the development, motivation and guidance of diverse teams to deliver top performance.  Mr. Fifer has a BBA with a marketing emphasis and a MBA with a management emphasis from the University of Iowa.
